1. Usage fees
The standard rate applies to City Bikes, e-bikes and junior bikes. We charge 1 euro for every 30 minutes of use or part thereof. The use of cargo bikes is charged at 2 euros for every 30 minutes or part thereof. A break in riding (parking) during the rental period counts as regular rental time. Please note: Separate fees will be charged if the maximum rental period is exceeded or if the bike is misused.
2. Exceeding the maximum rental period and fee for retrieval (§ 2 No. 3 and § 7 No. 3 of the general terms and conditions)
Any city bike that is not returned to a rental station within 24 hours of the start of the rental period must be collected by our service team and taken to a station. A service fee of 50 euros will be charged for this.
3. Blocking the user account in the event of misuse (§ 4 No. 5 of the general terms and conditions)
If the Monheim Pass customer account is blocked due to misuse of the city bikes or the rental system (e.g. repeatedly exceeding the maximum rental period, vandalism, tampering, withholding city bikes), a processing fee of 15 euros will be charged.
4. Damage or loss (§ 10 No. 1 of the general terms and conditions)
Customers are liable for loss of or damage to City Bikes. Unless you caused the damage intentionally or through gross negligence, liability is limited to a maximum excess of 500 euros.
5. Other costs
a) In cases where a fine for administrative offences is imposed on the provider by the authorities due to the behaviour of the customer, the provider reserves the right to pass on the full amount to the person responsible.
b) In individual cases, the city of Monheim am Rhein reserves the right to charge a service fee corresponding to the actual costs incurred.
c) If the operator makes a claim on its liability insurance due to the behaviour of a customer, the insurance company's recourse claims against the customer remain unaffected.
